It was simple. I removed the twelve screws around the door. Unplugged the old switch, plugged in the new on and screwed it back together. Before I purchased the lock/switch from Appliance Parts. I used the formed plates to engage the slots at the top front of the dishwasher and then screwed the plates to the plywood underside of the quartz countertop. I had to fold over the end of the plates to keep them from extending out past the countertop. Read more

Here's what the problem was: Started the 'Normal' cycle... I closed the door... it calls for water, water fills, ECS sensor doesn't kick it to the next segment of the cycle (wash), so the water over-fills and reaches the over-fill sensor. So many other are replacing the plastic 'case-brake,' main board, and the ECS sensor.
