The refrigerator water dispenser lever arm activates water flow when pressed and returns to position when released. Replace when the lever becomes stuck, breaks off, or fails to properly activate the water dispensing mechanism.
The water dispenser stopped working on my Sears Kenmore (Whirlpool) side-by-side refrigerator and after much research on the web I purchased the parts that commonly failed for this condition. Replaced both sets of door cams on my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator. The most important thing to know is that you DO NOT have to remove the doors from the refrigerator to replace BOTH sets of cams. You just have to remove the lower grill which is a snap fit (I also turned off the water and unplugged the unit).
