I replaced the ball and socket connection for the drum. After doing so, I realized that the belt had been stretched and the tension pulley was not putting enough tension on the belt to turn the drum. After ordering a new belt, extra screw that was lost while disassembling the dryer, and some high temperature lubricant for the drum ball and socket the dryer now runs as well as it did when it was new. Replaced the Controller (mother board). I previously replaced the temperature probe (316217002) but that did not resolve the problem. Replacing the Controller (318185446 / AP3583606) was much easier and quicker than replacing the probe. Simply remove the 6 or 8 screws that secure that range top and the top lifts easily exposing the Controller. There are only 4 electrical connections that easily unplug and reattach. Worked great. Only recommendation I have is to take a quick picture of the old board before you disconnect the wires. After you receive the new part you'll have a quick reference to hook everything back up. Should take about 10 min. Super easy fix. Read more

Control unit/clock-timer is located at front of wall oven, so did not have to pull out oven to replace. The actual control unit replacement was easy - with circuit breaker/power shut off, remove panels to gain access, unplug old control unit, plug in new and replace panels, a total of 16 screws and less than 30 minutes time. Opened oven door to the fully opened position. Pulled up the the lock located on both hinge supports and engaged it in the hook of the hinge levers. You may need to apply a little downward pressure on the door to pull the locks fully over the hooks. In addition, you may need to use a flat head screwdriver to "help" engage the hinge locks over the hook. Hold the door securely on both sides (not the door handle).
