Dryer won't heat or shows E66 error? The thermal limiter prevents overheating by monitoring airflow. Moderate DIY repair, requires rear panel access.
I actually found a post from another brave soul who was willing to try to fix his, and had stated when he put the new limiter switch in, it fixed the problem. Since the whole back of the dryer needs to come off to get to the burner, and the limiter switch is inexpensive it seemed like common sense to take this approach first. After all, you don't put a new engine in your car if all it needs is a new battery! I also found posts that an overheating event could fry the main control board, and... Read more

Dryer door won't stay closed? The door strike secures the door latch during operation. Quick DIY fix—installs from the front in minutes.
My dryer door would not stay shut because the door strike was stuck in the door catch. I was afraid that when I pulled the strike out, it would damage the catch, so I ordered the door strike and door catch. I got the damaged door strike out with needle nosed pliers in about 15 seconds. The door catch was in perfect condition so I didn't need to use the one I ordered. So then I proceeded to install the new door strike. That took me about 15 minutes because I did not have the manual strength to... Read more

Changed the Frigidaire Icemaker Fill Tube Part # 241796405 (AP5671747) about a week ago and so far the Frigidaire Refrigerator seems to work fine. Did not use other ordered parts. We have a Frigidaire LGHS2667KE0. I’m not an appliance technician. Our refrigerator was not working. We were getting an error code SY CE on the front control panel. I tried unplugging it for about an hour and plug it back in. The refrigerator would cut off and on for about 30 seconds, shut down and beep leaving me with the same code. I called an appliance repair technician who pulled the main board from the front bottom of the refrigerator. He believed it was a relay and or the... Read more

By reading the forums I first thought it may be the thermostat. I bypassed the thermostat wiring and the dryer still turned off after a few second of running. The second check was for the door switch. I couldn't find an explanation of how to bypass, so I just ordered a new one to try. It worked. Read more
