My problem started with a rusting condition in the ice bin that spiraled out of hand. I took apart the ice bin and all the hardware thinking I could clean it with the suggested baking powder. Replacing the ice maker fixed the issue. Because the ice maker was redesigned. I needed a new ice cream shelf. If your current ice maker has a power switch that is vertical, you will need a new ice cream shelf to make it fit correctly. The repair was very easy. All I had to do is loosen two screws on the ice maker mount and slide it out. Then disconnect the connector and install the new ice maker. It was probably the easiest repair I have ever done.
