My bracket was bent down a little due to my kids hanging on the door when looking at the bottom shelf and i discovered my bracket was held on by only two bolts when there was supposed to be three. Replacing the ice maker fixed the issue. Because the ice maker was redesigned. I needed a new ice cream shelf. If your current ice maker has a power switch that is vertical, you will need a new ice cream shelf to make it fit correctly. The repair was very easy. All I had to do is loosen two screws on the ice maker mount and slide it out. Then disconnect the connector and install the new ice maker. It was probably the easiest repair I have ever done. Initially I noticed the crusher drum was cracked and broken so I replaced the drum the retaining nut on the end of the auger and the circlip and washer. it worked fine for a time and then the drum began free wheeling. upon further inspection I discovered the retain nubs on the auger had worn down allowing the blade to slip down the auger body. so I replaced the auger, drum, drive blade, and drive cam. Defrosted coil and removed defrost heater connectors, measured no continuity in the heater and ordered a replacement.
