This microwave thermostat monitors internal temperatures and shuts off heating elements when safe operating limits are exceeded to prevent overheating. It acts as a safety device that protects the microwave's components and prevents fire hazards. Replace this part if your microwave stops heating unexpectedly, won't restart after cooling, or shows overheating error messages.
With no power in the unit I started to investigate. I removed the power cord and checked the supply. Then I removed a few panels from the unit. The parts are readily accessible and the wiring diagrams on the computer are very helpful. I removed the wires from each device and the probed the devices. I ordered the parts from Appliance Parts Pros online and they shipped the parts in less than one day! Read more
Replaced turntable. The axels of the small wheels on the turn table degraded after hard usage (20 minutes of near continuous use on small tasks). They would now spark and smoke with noxious fumes. Trivial solution: replace the turn table (the wheels don't seem to be replaceable). Read more

This is a replacement control panel button for your microwave. It is made of black plastic and is less than half an inch in diameter. This button is sold individually. The button makes contact with a control switch when you push it. If the button is not responding, or if it is cracked or damaged, it may need to be replaced. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.
Ordered a new button an it fixed the problem. Read more
Followed the suggestions and washed off the wave guide cover first (it had some food soil on it). Put it back on and tried operating the microwave with nothing in it. Got a real big spark then. Discovered that there were some areas on the door that had paint scraped off. Looked like the power was all directed to this bare metal area causing the mica wave guide cover to really scorch then, with nothing else inside the microwave to absorb the energy. So I got some black appliance paint and... Read more

I unplugged the oven and left it installed over the range, removed the screws for the bottom plate, unplugged the cable for the bottom lamp and the turn table motor. Two screws removed the motor and the mount from the bottom of the oven. The new motor and mount replacement parts in the kit were installed easily by replacing the two mounting screws. Reassembly was the reverse of disassembly. Read more

My husband is the hero in this story. At this time in our lives we weren't looking to purchase another microwave. After 10 years at my company, due to a workforce reduction, my position was eliminated. He quickly realized it could be the fuse. We searched the microwave and the part on line and appliance part pros came up with the parts for our microwave. We needed the fuse and the fuse holder. For under $20 we were able to get the microwave working again. Thank you appliance part pros for... Read more
If you search for this issue online, you’ll see this is caused by a faulty door switch - the primary interlock micro switch (with the red button). This switch is at the lowest position in the bracket that holds the switches. The hardest part for me was pulling the cover off. Two screws on one side of the black cover, one on the other side and several screws in back. The cover slides back. The switches are clearly visible on the right hand side. The white door paddle presses on the switch... Read more
