Replace this thermostat if your dryer is not heating at all, shuts off prematurely, or if a multimeter test shows no continuity through the thermostat.
I don't have a multimeter so couldn't check all voltages or resistances on suspect parts. I assumed it had to be the two thermostat units - the thermostat or the dryer cycling thermostat. These were not expensive parts so ordered both and installed both. Very easy to remove back panel and replace with the new parts, making sure the OEM numbers were the same.
