Within 6 months of use of the switch on the large dual element of the left front unit, the switch came loose from the mounting plate and would not allow the switch operation. It took me over 10 years to decide to fix it. Ordered 2 replacement elements. Then performed the following: 1. Shut off power to cooktop (IMPORTANT) 2. Remove the brackets holding cooktop in. (under counter, I had 2) 3. Push up cooktop from under counter, you will need to lift cooktop about 3 inches from counter top. I used 2 furring strips to hold cooktop up. 4.
