Fix a gas burner that won't light or clicks continuously with this igniter. Simple 1-minute installation using basic tools. Restores reliable ignition.
Very easy fix. Lifted off the grill and burner. Unscrewed 2 screws. Pulled the burner pan up and off. Disconnected the wire to the igniter. Used needle nosed pliers to remove the clip holding the igniter in place. Removed the gasket from the old burner pan. Placed the new igniter in the hole of the new burner pan and slipped the old clip on the igniter to hold it in place. Then put the old gasket on the new burner pan. Then connected the igniter wire to the new igniter and put the burner pan... Read more

Went on site, read the reviews to see how difficult it would be or if any problems. Then ordered it And received it the next day!!! The 2 screws were a bit hard to remove. Found the right screwdriver by using the 2 new screws I ordered. Once I got them out, lifted the old panel out. Pushed down on one corner so could get a grip on opposite corner to lift out. Once out, put in new one. Put in new screws and good to go! Will certainly NOT line with foil ever again!!! Read more
For 12k burner.
We bought a stove off Craigslist and didn't realize it was LP Gas until we got it home and my husband was hooking it up and the burners wouldn't light all the way around. My husband has been out of the gas company for over 10 years now and was a little rusty on what was happening. I jumped online and when I read that the possibility was because LP Gas, my husband said..."thats it." So we jumped online... on a Sunday and actually got a real person to chat with at AppliancePartsPros who told... Read more

Oven won't light even though igniter glows? Burner lights only when valve is tapped? Replace the dual gas safety valve. DIY install in under 1 hour.
From the Appliance Parts website I watched a 3 minute Youtube video. The video actually explained the process on another range but it was enough information for me to do the project myself. The part came 2nd day UPS and I installed it in under an hour. The only hitch was that I didn't see the note (maybe it wasn't there) that explained how the valve is set for Natural gas and that for LP gas I'd need to adjust the jet that goes into the burner tube. Maybe that was on the video. Read more

I thought this would be a simple remove and replace, boy was I wrong. This repair became more complicated then it should have been. The screws holding the skirt were frozen and broke when trying to remove. Had to end up cutting the skirt using a dremel and a cutting blade. Was able to remove one of the screws using a pinning plier. The other one I had to bore it out using a drill bit. Once that was done the rest was a breeze, discarded bad seal, clean the surface, install the new seal and... Read more

Fix a gas burner that won't light with this cooktop igniter switch. Common solution for spark ignition failure. Moderate DIY difficulty level.
Actually we called Sears repair and they did a good job diagnosing and fixing the problem (Jacob). But they never supplied the part after more than a month, so we got the number from them and ordered it ourselves from you. We had already paid for it, so had them do the work. We would have fixed it ourself but could not figure out how to lift up the entire range top and videos we found were for a totally different stove top and we had no information how to get to the part to replace it. This is a seal gasket that fits around the burner drip pan on a cooktop or range. It creates a tight seal between the drip pan and the cooktop surface to prevent spills and debris from falling beneath the burner area. Replace this gasket if it is cracked, hardened, or no longer sealing properly, which can allow grease and liquids to leak below the cooktop.
Unscrewed the burner pans and installed the new gaskets. Discarded the old grates and put the new grates on the stove... What really amazed me was the speed in which my parts arrived... I called in my order on Monday and they arrived of Tuesday... Great customer service!!! Read more
