First, I will never, ever make the mistake of unscrewing anything on an appliance while it is still connected to power - what started as a cosmetic fix on the freezer door ended up costing me $340 to fix after I shorted out one of the boards for the dispenser. Replaced both the Ice dispenser power board and Ice dispenser control board. This 1/4" compression nut and ring is used to connect the water supply line to the water valve inlet. Can be used anywhere a 1/4" compression fitting is needed.

I removed the old dispenser cover/plastic frame (bottom portion broken off/separated and held in with three rusted screws) - disconnected the ribbon from the circuit board. Installed the new ribbon cable in the circuit board located behind the dispenser cover. Removed the backing from the new "Frigidaire Gallery Series" label and attached the label to the front of the dispenser cover and reinstalled on the refrigerator door with three new screws.
