The Washer Top is an OEM part for GE washers. It is the upper panel that covers the internal components of the washing machine and provides a flat surface for loading and unloading laundry.
Causes of a bad Washer Top can include physical impact, warping due to prolonged exposure to heat or moisture, or general wear and tear over time.
Symptoms of a bad Washer Top include:
This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
I bought and replaced the top and the lid for the washer. The washer now looks like a brand new washer even though it’s 12 years old. Total repair took less than an hour. Read more
The Agitator Hub is an OEM part for Frigidaire washing machines. It connects the agitator to the drive shaft, enabling the agitator to rotate and move clothes effectively during the wash cycle.
Causes of a bad agitator hub can include wear and tear from frequent use, exposure to harsh detergents or hard water, or damage from overloading the washer.
Symptoms of a bad agitator hub include:
This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.
The agitator stopped functioning and there was a squeaking sound occurring in agitation mode. I found that if I cranked down on the agitator cap, screwing in as hard as I could, the agitator would work briefly, then the cap would loosen and agitator stop moving. I removed the agitator cap, along with which came the agitator stud cap and a rubber washer/seal which was jammed up into the underside of the cap. I lifted out the agitator from the drum and inspected it and the hub best I could.... Read more
The Pressure Switch is an OEM replacement part for GE washing machines. It's responsible for monitoring the water level inside the wash tub. By signaling the washing machine to start and stop filling with water, it ensures the appropriate water level is maintained for each specific wash cycle. Symptoms of a bad Pressure Switch include:
The typical causes for a malfunctioning Pressure Switch can be a result of mechanical wear over time, a defect in the pressure hose leading to incorrect readings, or electrical failures that affect the switch’s ability to communicate with the rest of the washing machine. This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
Well once I narrowed it down to the pressure switch as the problem then it was pretty easy. I watched a video online on how to do the repair and ordered the part. When the part arrived it probably took me about a half-hour to do it. Read more
This thrust washer is a small wear component used in washers to maintain proper spacing and smooth rotation between mating parts in the drive system. Replacing a worn washer helps reduce friction, noise, and premature wear.
Originally thought, based on reading and reviews, the banging was coming from a bad dampening strap. After a quick replacement, the noise was better but not completely fixed. Two loads later, the noise became ten times worse. Further investigation led to seeing the bearing on the Mode Shifter and Shaft Assembly was blown out. As another reviewer said, I think ultimately this is a result of a miniscule leak in the tub seal over time, rusting out the bearing and eventually causing it to go. ... Read more
I ordered a new timer switch and received it in 3 days from the time I ordered it, installation was a breeze and now my washer works great Read more
The Idler Pulley is an OEM part for Frigidaire dryers. It helps guide and maintain tension on the dryer drum belt, ensuring the drum rotates smoothly during the drying cycle.
Over time, the idler pulley can wear out due to friction and regular use, or it may become damaged from excessive strain or misalignment. If the idler pulley fails, the dryer drum may not rotate properly, leading to inefficient drying or a complete inability to dry clothes.
Symptoms of a bad Idler Pulley include:
This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.
I replaced the spin bearing, tub seal, washer and drive belt since I had it all apart. The video was extremely helpful...I would have tore the whole thing apart trying to figure out how the agitator came off....but it was very simple. Read more

The trunnion is the hub that mounts the washer's inner tub to the drive shaft. Replacing a worn hub restores a solid, centered connection so the basket spins smoothly without wobble, slip, or grinding. What it does:
The seal at the bottom of the tub had started to fail. On large loads water would leak so I ordered a new one rubber seal. Getting the trunnion off the transmission shaft was hard as it was calcified and corroded. I used a wire brush to get some of it off and then used a lot of WD-40. The bolt holding the trunnion plate on sheared off when I tried to remove it on one side and the other came out ok (the bolt hole through the trunnion is not threaded so it should slide out once the plate is off... Fix a washer that won't advance cycles or gets stuck in one mode. This control timer manages wash, rinse, and spin timing. 30-minute DIY repair.
My wife suspected that the washing machine was broken because the load of wash started in the morning was still running at dinner time. I determined all the functions of the machine worked except the timer. AppliancePartsPro's website helped to confirm my diagnosis. Incidentally, this all took place in the evening...when I called there was someone in Customer Service to take my call and who also confirmed my diagnosis. I ordered the part and was glad to know there was no risk since I could... Read more

The Probe Sensor (ATC) is an OEM replacement part for GE washers. It plays a key role in monitoring water levels and temperatures during cycles. Symptoms of a bad probe sensor include:
Causes can include normal wear over time as the delicate internal components are subjected to constant temperature changes and immersion in water. Mineral deposits or contaminants may also affect performance. This GE replacement is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
Opened the control panel to find a very useful service instructions sheet which explained the self-diagnosis mode. Ran that mode suspecting the ATC thermistor and indeed it showed a thermistor fault. The sheet explained how to dismantle the front and top covers to access the ATC probe - resistance measurement was only 1.2 kOhms at room temp (should be 47 kOhms). Ordered ATC probe from this site for GTWN4250D0WS (slightly different model but looked identical). Arrived next day - fantastic... Read more
