I removed the dishwasher from the underneath the counter, replaced both springs on the left and right side of the dishwasher and the repair was completed. Read more
Replacing the spring allows the door to open and close as the manufacturer intended. I'm an amateur DIY. I replaced the filter gasket also as the 13 yr old one was looking pretty shabby. It's not an exact replacement, and I did break one of the plastic pieces that is part of the hold down assembly. For the filter gasket -- look at the aluminum piece on the grommet that holds gasket in place, bend that carefully and remove it so as not to break the plastic that holds it down. Read more
Replaced spray arm assembly, it's a different style than what was in the dishwasher but it's an easier style to work with. I also ordered support assembly and did not need it,spray arm assembly was all I needed. Read more
