First replaced water/ice maker solenoid switches at bottom of refrigerator with no improvement. Then replaced filter head and the base that was broken. That fixed the problem as the filter head had started leaking when cap/filter was removed. I disconnected the spray arm housing from the bottom of the dishwasher. I took apart the spray arm housing to isolate the spray arm. I put the spray arm housing back together with the new spray arm and replaced the spray arm housing to the bottom of the dishwasher. Read more

I got online to see what might be wrong with my unit and then see what parts were recommended to repair the problem. I found this site and ordered two parts a piston and nut assembly and a check valve if the piston and nut did not fix my problem. Once I received my parts I installed the piston and nut assembly first and that was all I needed to make it drain prperly.
