This replacement part is an upper rack slide, and it is intended for use in different types of appliances. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. This upper rack slide is an important part of many appliances. This particular one is typically found in dishwashers and helps guide the upper rack in and out. This allows the user to have easy access to the rack in order to place and remove dishes before and after the cleaning process. A new upper slide rack might be needed if the current ones are broken or damaged in any way. It is possible that these slides become stripped over many years of use and need to be replaced. If the upper rack is tilted or not sturdy while being slid back inside the main tub, the upper rack slide might be the problem. Be sure the dishwasher is completely empty prior to replacing this part. This is a genuine OEM part and is sourced directly from the manufacturer. This upper arm rack slide is sold individually.
Dishwasher needed new wheel that mounted to upper rack. There are 4 total that make the rack roll in and out. Replaced both side rails and rail caps (4- only 50 cents each) along with new upper rack that came with wheels installed. One side rail was bent so decided to spend a little extra and replace both. Might of been able to replace just one broken rack wheel but rack was old and was rusting in some areas so decided to just replace it. Read more

So I promptly bought this replacement, installed it in about 5 minutes, did a clean cycle, and shes back to normal...I love AppliancePartsPros.com, and use... Read more

This spray arm is situated underneath the top dish rack and projects water downward for more sufficient cleaning.A new lower spray arm might be needed if the user notices the current one is failing to spin or expel water. Removed and cleaned plastic filter strainers (located in the bottom rear of the dish compartment) that was packed with sediment. In doing so I found the filter gasket assembly badly deteriorating (rubber coming apart with the simplest of touch). While trying to remove the filter gasket, I broke the lower spray arm assembly due to the plastic being brittle. (Unit is over 10 years old!) Then, while ordering parts, I read that the Piston & Nut assembly is the typical cause of the condition I was... Read more

I ordered both the front long panel and the lower access panel in the new color. I watched the instructional videos which were very helpful. I was very careful to remember where all the screws belonged as I took it apart. The panel required an extra small attachment to fit due to a change in design. These were included in the box along with clear instructions. It took about an hour to put back together, but I encountered no problems. The dishwasher now looks great. If I had not found this... This 3rd level spray arm assembly restores targeted wash action from the top of the tub, improving coverage to the upper rack. Replace it if jets are clogged, the arm is damaged, or upper-rack cleaning performance has declined.
There is a plastic "snapping" feature (Two plastic tabs that when pressed together can fit into the holes on the spray arm. Once in there, the tabs expands and keep the spray arm in place) that comes out of the top onto which the spray arm is attached to. That plastic piece broke and the spray arm fell off. It wasn't clear how the snapping feature was attached to the top of the dishwasher at first. I was looking for a replacement for it and could not find it on any of the assembly diagram... Read more
