I originally thought it was just accumulated dirt and sludge in the sump and the lines. I cleaned all that and it was not the cause. Saw this video...took off the filter frame and the piston & nut assembly was definitely broke (cap deteriorated to nothing). Need pliers to break it free as in the video.
