Fix a light that won't turn on or flickers in your refrigerator. This E12 socket replacement is straightforward with our step-by-step video guide.
When diagnosing the problem, I discovered that the ice door was not properly sealing and that the solenoid had appeared to rust/corrode forcing the door open. I replaced most of the ice dispenser internals (solenoid, crank, door, and spring) following the video. The door will now open when dispensing ice (which it does!), and will oddly stay open for a few seconds once I am finished, but does seal properly and the chute/container no longer frosts over. Mounting screw fastens panels, brackets, and trim in refrigerators, dishwashers, and ranges. Replace missing, stripped, or rusty screws to secure parts.
The auger gearbox shaft had a spot that was stripped of threads which prevented the auger drive from spinning the ice down the chute. I replaced the auger motor/gearbox assembly, the auger drive as it had to be cut off the shaft, and the 3 mount bolts that hold it all in place. Whole job took 30 minutes from start to finish which included cutting off the drive bracket. Read more

Prices were great too . . . I'm a customer for life and my dishwasher cleans the dishes like new now! Read more
Flexible seal that keeps cold air in your freezer. Replace when worn, cracked, or doors won't seal properly. Confirm fit with your model number.
This was a two and half year issue as different things failed at different times. I would get one part, then another would fail. Ultimately, I got to a point where what failed, I hadn't been ordered the part yet. The seal on the freezer door took three bathing's before it plumped up and un-creased. The directions on the box it is shipped in said to heat the seal up in hot water then cool it down with tap water. I didn't need to do that. It took a lot of massaging of the seal, but... Read more
Internal water reservoir with attached tubing that stores and delivers chilled water to the dispenser. Replace if cracked, leaking, or damaged.
Installing the tank went quickly. Removed the water filter from the upper compartment to stop water flow to the tank. Had to remove the two lower drawers (they tilt out of their sliding frames). There is a glass shelf that should be pulled out - it slides out via two notches in the front frame. The water tank is behind a white metal cover held by 4 screws. Keep track of all of the parts including the lip seals from the shelf. I used two Watts 5/15x5/16 couplers from Lowes for the connections.... Read more

Secures the evaporator fan assembly behind the rear freezer panel. Replace if cracked, rusted, or missing to restore proper fan mounting and clearance.
The problem was most likely the evaporator fan motor but it could have been a bad blade, loose parts or bad motor mounts. Hard to tell without taking everything apart and inspecting. Since fridge was 17 years old I decided to order the entire evaporator fan assembly as shown in the parts diagram including fan blade, motor brackets, motor, motor mounts, screws, etc. Getting to the assembly involved removing the ice maker unit plus the entire rear inside of the freezer section. Parts cost around... Read more
