The problem was most likely the evaporator fan motor but it could have been a bad blade, loose parts or bad motor mounts. Hard to tell without taking everything apart and inspecting. Mounting standoff spacer secures internal components, panels, and circuit boards inside your refrigerator. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing.
Since the compressor was still working, I guessed that either the interior fan was bad or the main control board. Since fans are usually very reliable, I decided to replaced the main control board. Immediately after replacing the board, the refrigerator began working normally. I purchased main control board/defrost limiter thermostat and defrost heater I only needed the defrost limiter thermostat fairly easy to do simple tools needed. I would rate this job as a 6 or 7 on a scale of 10 10 being most difficult the only thing that took time was defrosting the evaporator I used a small steam cleaner worked well Read more
