We bought a used fridge and forgot to get the hardware to mount the doors. Looked up the model on your website. Using the pictures I was able to order just the parts I needed and not to duplicate anything (or leave anything out!). The parts arrived and because I watched the "how to" video I knew to use the "trick" to hold the doors up while attaching the hardware. Had the doors mounted in less than 15 minutes!.. Common theme on the blogs was thermistors and or defrost heater/thermostat. Ran self-diagnostics which turned on defrost heater which was fine. All five thermistors indicated ok on diagnostic also, but I read more than one time "replace the thermistors no matter what if your FF section isn't cooling". Simply removed top door hinge held in place with a screw and two small 5/16 inch bolts . Lifted the door off bottom hing . Replaced old cam riser with new cam riser . Replaced refridgerator door and top hinge . Adjusted door height with 5/16 wrench matching it with deepfreeze door . Patted myself on back for such a good repair job . Lol . I watched several videos to identify the problem, worn/broken cam riser on bottom door hinge. I ordered parts from AppliancePartsPros.com to replace the cam. Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong part due to the pitiful GE door assembly diagram and parts description I was unable to complete the repair. Protective cover for the fresh food compartment temperature sensor in your refrigerator. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing to shield the thermistor.
