I had to remove the microwave from the range and then remove the cover from the microwave to determine the exact problem. After a visual inspection then discharging the high voltage capacitor, I used a meter to test the high voltage diode and fuses. After using the meter to ohm out the magnetron, I removed it from the unit, and seeing that the hole in the end of the magnetron's tube was enlarged and burnt, as if it was arcing, I assumed it was the bad part. Went to Appliance Pros and found the part for my microwave. Web site was very easy to use. Ordered the thermal fuse and it was delivered in 2 days. Shipping was a a bit expensive, but can't complain with two day delivery. Replaced the failed part and the microwave now works great. It 1 1/2 hours, but I took my time. There were 3 door switches. Check all the switches and it was the bottom which ran the fan. The top 2 switches were fine. Take top cover of the microware. 3 screws on top. Move the cover 1/3 to your left and the cover come of. There is screw in the front to remove the control panel Take the panel of and then take the 2 screws of which hold the switches. Replaced the control board. The top plastic panel on the microwave is held in place with screws and glue, and is very fragile, so I broke mine when trying to take it off, be careful. Read more

Google indicated that the problem was the control panel. It was easy to remove it and replace the panel.Found a parts company that would allow returns if new part did not remedy the problem. Ordered part and it arrived the next day. Replaced panel and microwave is working. Keeping my fingers crossed. DO NOT PURCHASE A PART FROM A COMPANY THAT WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNS.Problem could be another defective part and you will be stuck with an expensive part. Read more

Replaced the whole right side panel. take 3 screws from the top and slide the grille to your left. then remove one more screw for the panel. push it up, disconnect the wires then reconnect to the new panel. this panel was about $150 and the original cost of the moven about $300. Most likely not worth fixing but it was much easier than replacing the whole unit. These companies make the units so cheap it's crazy. Probably costs them $25 to manufacture, too. Removed the two screws on top of top grill, removed grill by sliding grill to left (was very stiff). This exposed the screw on top of the control panel. Removed the screw, unplugged connections to control board, removed old control panel. Unplugged flex connector on old control board, removed control board from old panel, put in new panel, connected flex connector. Read more
