The documentation that Appliance Parts Pro shipped with the part described a procedure to reset the control board. When I did this, the control worked and I did not need the part. I have to admit that I feel a little guilty about having to return the part but I must say that I am really, really impressed with Appliance Parts Pro and the service provided. These people are really great and they will be my first stop for all appliance parts need in the future! Read more

Ordered new glass cook top for GE profile 36" range top. Broke two screws off removing one of the burners. This is a double burner grate. The grates on a gas stove offer protection to the actual burner portion where the flames originate.Grates on a gas stove can become damaged through heavy impacts, rust, or other elements. Failure to keep them clean on a regular basis can also lead to permanent damage. Using certain pots and pans that aren't recommended for the surface could also be a cause of premature wear. Wear gloves when installing this part and be careful not to damage the burner eyes or stovetop. After removing the old grates, prepare the new ones by locating the slots the grates fasten to. Input the outer corners of the grates into these slots and slowly lower them down, making sure they're lined up evenly. This GE double burner grate is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from GE. The grate is only available individually and does not include other parts or the original appliance. This product is compatible with GE brand gas stoves.
