The manufacturer no longer makes the duel socket as shown in the photo. It has been replaced by a single socket
Simple, just like the video I watched on line. It just popped out and all I had to do was unplug the wires off the old one and put the wires back on the new one. Real simple. Read more
Just removed the old one and put the new one in. It is made to remove for cleaning, so no tools are required. The old part was damaged and yellowed with age. I had requested a replacement part from a local company, but had been told that the part is no longer made and is unavailable. Then I decided to look on AppliancePartsPros.com, and not only found it, but replaced it myself for much less than the price of a service call. Read more

I checked element on freezer was good using ohm meter for continuity,only logical solution was defrost timer and thermostat.I always replace timer and thermostat together as both were original parts and either one or both may have been worn and for the extra money worth just replacing both at once.
