I decided to replace my igniters because I suspected that they were shorted. Due to my recklessness, I was too hard in taking them off and broke a couple. But with Appliance Pro's recommendations, I moved on to treplacing the switch harness assembly. I have to say that the replacement of the switch harness assembly took no more than 30 seconds. Ordered new glass cook top for GE profile 36" range top. Broke two screws off removing one of the burners. Tried drilling broken 6-32 screws out of cast aluminum gas manifold and broke the tap off inside it so I had to order a new $28 manifold. Total cost with $303 for the glass was $331 Replacement range would have been over $1200. I also replaced all (10) 6-32x1" torx screws with stainless steel versions from McMaster-Carr and installed with Permatex anti seize in case I ever had to open it... Read more

Physical appearance by replacing burner caps and burner grate. My wife is a cleaning machine. Only probelm is the grates and caps get slight burn marks on them that are hard to clean. I may try your ceramic cleaner to see if that works better than elbow grease. Read more
