Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The clock/timer on my range stopped working   Karen F. • Hanover , PA • January 07, 2019

Removed the front off the back panel, unplugged the old unit. Then using a blow dryer heated the old timer to peel the face /cover off and applied to the new clock. Plugged in the replacement clock. Replaced the front of the range. The only complaint I have is we were not informed that a new face would not be included and the old one would have to be removed and applied to the replacement clock. Screw
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB1X536

This is a replacement screw that can be used with many different types of household appliances. Screws fasten various pieces of machines together. They can also help to reduce the amount of vibration in the machine. If a screw is missing or damaged, it could cause a machine to stop working properly, or to vibrate more than it should. The screws are made from metal and will typically last for a long time. However, the threads and other parts of the screw can wear down with use. The screws could also become lost when making other repairs to the appliance. Replacement of the screws is generally easy, but it will depend on where it is placed. This item can replace certain screws found in various models of ranges, ovens, dryers, and microwaves from General Electric, Hotpoint, Whirlpool, and Kenmore. This is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. Owners may want to have several replacements on hand in case they need them.

Causes of a bad terminal block can include overheating due to electrical surges, corrosion from prolonged exposure to heat and moisture, or physical damage from improper installation or handling.

Symptoms of a bad terminal block include:
