There are four screws that hold the handle in place, my handle was down to one. I had to pry off the inner door cover. I used butter knives, but a thin screwdriver should work as well. Start on the outside edge (away from the hinge) near, but not in, the upper or lower corner. Slip the knife in between the inner door cover and the outer door shell, gently pry loose, working around the cover. It isn't necessary to remove it entirely, but I did so that I could clean it. I have one of those combo units with the microwave on top and the oven on the bottom. The thermometer switch located on the upper right side mounted on top of the magnetron read open on a continuity test. Replaced the thermal fuse. Everything works fine now. Note: The thermal switch on the left side read closed, the fan switch on the lower right side read open. I just watched some youtube videos on what and how to test the components. I had to remove the microwave from the range and then remove the cover from the microwave to determine the exact problem. After a visual inspection then discharging the high voltage capacitor, I used a meter to test the high voltage diode and fuses. After using the meter to ohm out the magnetron, I removed it from the unit, and seeing that the hole in the end of the magnetron's tube was enlarged and burnt, as if it was arcing, I assumed it was the bad part. Found a replacement stirrer motor from Appliance Parts Pros.com.The motor arrived in less than a week. I removed the old noisy motor and installed the new one. Placed a glass of water in the unit to test, and the new motor made it sound like brand new. The actual repair was quite simple. You just remove the grill on the top ,front of the unit. Ordered new film, cut to size with a T square and an exacto knife, use old film as a template. Round corners with a nail clipper. Apply to inside of door, good as new in 15 minutes! Great service, speedy too. Read more
