GE Microwave/Convection Oven. Removed case (carefully). Tested in-line power cord fuse with multi-meter. Fuse was good. Noticed a scorch mark on a wire connected to the oven cavity thermal fuse. The fuse appeared to have been overheated from too much movement in it's mount. Removed part from unit and used number on the part to order a new one. Removed 8 screws from bottom panel on microwave. Pulled two prong plug off old motor. Read supplied voltage off motor decal and tested for it. Deemed motor to be bad and changed it. Works great. This is the plastic hook that engages the door latch mechanism when the microwave door is closed. It ensures the door is securely latched so the microwave can operate safely. Replaced the high voltage diode. You will need a special Torx screwdriver to remove the tamper resistant screws holding the cover. Once the cover is removed there should be a packet inside containing a schematic and detailed troubleshooting instructions. I used extreme caution to discharge the capacitor. The rest was simple.
