Paul W Knoxville , TN August 09, 2016 The appliance was a ge profile microwave oven it appeared to work normally but there was no heat at all Replaced the high voltage diode. You will need a special Torx screwdriver to remove the tamper resistant screws holding the cover. Once the cover is removed there should be a packet inside containing a schematic and detailed troubleshooting instructions. I used extreme caution to discharge the capacitor. The rest was simple. One screw and a push connector to remove and reinstall the diode. I fired it up and it was good as new. Thanks to AppliancepartsPros for the good guidance and extremely fast order delivery. Jeremy G Fresno , CA February 02, 2019 Appliance: General Electric Microwave PEB2060DM1WW GE profile microwave not heating You-tubed "fixes." Ordered a fuse, diode and magnetron, in case it was any of the 3. Took apart the microwave as shown on video, found the fuse replacement, and wa-la, that's all it took. $6 part and I sent back the others for full refund. Saved me having to spend almost $400 on a replacement, and then another $125 for a trim kit. Well worth buying through AppliancePartsPros.com Will definitely do business with them again. John P Austin , TX January 06, 2019 Appliance: Model MODEL JES2051DN2WW Had lost heat, magnetron had become noisy over time I had to order a small set of TT20 bits to get the security screws out of the back. I ordered them from an online retailer. Once the security screws have been removed and the Phillips screws, the cover can be lifted off and away. My cover was stuck in the front. I had to wiggle it to get it to break loose from the tongue and groove seam. I had ordered a Magnetron, a fuse, a HV Capacitor, and a Diode. It did not take that long to replace the parts. I figured if I was that committed to get into it I would replace all of the parts. It's back together and it heats like New???? I did not realize how noisy the Magnetron had become over time. Now it's quiet. For half the price of a new one, it's up and running like New! Go for it. Jack C Taos , NM December 31, 2018 Microwave not heating First step was to make sure capacitor was discharged before touching other components.Used multimeter (VOM) to check out components, diode, capacitor, and magnetron. Ordered all three as readings were not consistent with expected. Started by replacing magnetron. Tested with cup of water. Viola microwave was heating the water. Returned the other parts. Super service. One caution is to make sure capacitor is discharged before doing any work as it contains high voltage. Safety first.
