The Water Supply Tube is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. This tube transports water to supply the automatic ice maker. It ensures a consistent water flow to produce batches of ice on demand.

I removed the lower sheet metal panel at the base of the freezer section and then used a heat gun to melt off all the built up ice, which was blocking air flow to the refrigerator side. I then unplugged the old heating element at each end and "very gingerly" pulled out the evaporator coil a few inches so that I could removed the old heating element. This is a shallow cantilever-style door shelf bin that mounts on the inside of the refrigerator door to hold smaller items like condiments and bottles.
