I looked for D-shaped oven range knobs that were all metal and replaced them. I looked at many ovens at Sears, Best Buy, etc. in order to identify the knobs I liked, matched the GE Profile stainless steel oven I had, and then looked for the model numbers online to find the cheapest I could find. I had to remove the oven door, which I learned is made to come off without tools. Then took out the bottom by removing two screws and lifting. Removed the screws attaching the igniter, pulled wires thru back until I could get the connector and disconnect. When the new igniter arrived, I had to change the connector. I cut the one off the old one, and spliced to the new one using solder and shrink tubing. Just reverse the procedure to install. I replaced the screws with new ones. Read more
