I recently shattered the outer glass on my Whirlpool oven door. (Side note for lesson learned...don't swat at a fly with a broom when its on the oven door. Door hinge receiver for wall ovens. Mounts inside the oven frame to hold the door hinge in place. Replace if cracked, deformed, or causing door alignment issues.
I was able to order new hinge receiver brackets for the door. The repair was not that bad. I just had to take off the lower door, take the two trim pieces off the sides and unscrew the screws holding the oven into the face of the cabinet. Then slide it out about halfway and put a step stool under the front to keep it from tipping over. Missing or damaged ground screw can prevent proper electrical bonding. This 8-32 thread screw restores chassis grounding during installation or service.

Whirlpool convection oven. Access to convection element from inside. Three screws to remove plate covering fan blade. Then one screw to remove element bracket. I placed tape over the holes with the wires so they wouldn’t pull back into the panel. Remove old element at tabs and replace. Very easy fix. Took off the door. Found that one of the Hinges was bent. Replaced the hinge and the door works perfectly. Pretty easy replacement - there were a total of 8 screws to take off and on. Pretty straight forward once you get the door off the oven! Read more
