Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Our broiler coil had a blister in it and wasn't working   Stephanie M. • Brentwood , TN • September 10, 2016

We ordered the part and one extra screw(which we didn't end up using). If possible take door off your oven for easy access and have lighting source to see well. Taking part out was easy. Putting back in was more difficult because you have to match up two layers of parts in our oven. The broiler coil and the broiler shield above it. We used small craft clothes pins to keep wires from going behind the built in oven. We used a small diameter screw driver to match up holes before putting... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The glass plate stopped turning in our kitchen aid microwave oven   Jeffrey M. • Hope , NJ • February 01, 2016

I removed the Shaft by just pulling up on it. I noticed the flat sided hole on the bottom of the Shaft was damaged and a small piece of it was missing. By using a mirror and a pair of tweezers, I was able to remove the small broken off piece of plastic from the hole in the middle of the bottom of the oven. The Shaft still would not turn the plate because of the damage. I ordered the new part and installed it, and everything now works fine. I decided to replace the Ring as well because the... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Bad circuit board and thermal fuse   Jeff M. • Redding , CA • October 05, 2015

Like a boss! Seriously, removed oven from wall (2 screws), removed about 15 sheet metal screws from front and top covers, unplugged wire harnesses one (or a few) at a time. Reassembled. Hint. Take a picture of wiring before removing and mark old parts (especially thermal fuse) with sharpie before removing so you don't get confused. Line Fuse
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP4375321

This line fuse protects the appliance's incoming power circuit by opening if an overload or short occurs. Replacing a blown fuse can help restore power once the underlying issue is corrected, preventing further damage to sensitive components.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Broken outer glass on lower oven door   James F. • Durham , NC • May 03, 2015

I recently shattered the outer glass on my Whirlpool oven door. (Side note for lesson learned...don't swat at a fly with a broom when its on the oven door. I didnt swing hard just a love tap but thats all it took ha ha) The toughest part of the fix was removing the broken glass as it had shattered into hundreds...no thousands of pieces.
