Dishwashwer was only partially draining James M. • Barre , MA • November 07, 2016
I figured out that it was probably a plugged pump hose, since the pump would run, it somtimes it drained and sometimes it didn't. Your video helped with how to take the dishwasher out and replace the hose. I replaced the hose and everything is now working fine. It turned out to be a broken check valve in the old hose that caused the problem. It took 90 mins to do the repair.

Leaking sump housing Allen G. • Elkhorn , NE • January 15, 2016
I noticed the floor around the dishwasher was starting to get wet and warp the wooden floor. The chopper had gotten out of line and had cut a pinhole into the sump housing and the dishwasher was leaking badly. It was quite easy to repair. Just unhook the drain hose and the wire connectors, twist off the turbidity sensor and waste motor, pull out the shims and the whole assemple comes up and out. The hardest part was pulling the motor off of the assembly, since I wasn't sure if I needed to...

This overfill float and shaft assembly monitors the dishwasher's water level. As the tub fills, the float rises and triggers the float switch to shut off the inlet water, helping prevent overfilling and leaks.
- Senses tub water level and moves up/down with the water
- Activates the float switch to stop filling at the correct level
- Helps protect against overfill-related leaks
- Common symptoms include: won't fill (float stuck up), continuous filling/overfilling (float stuck down or damaged), or float not moving freely
What's included: Float and shaft assembly. Install notes:
- Disconnect power and turn off the water supply before servicing
- Lift the old float straight up from inside the tub; access the underside (behind the toe panel) as needed to release the shaft from the float switch lever
- Install the new shaft through the guide and onto the switch lever; seat the float so it moves freely
- Verify smooth float movement and test a fill cycle while checking for leaks

Kitchenaid dishwasher kudp02frss2 leak at float switch at front right of unit Richard B. • Mahwah , NJ • December 02, 2016
Removed bottom cover, located leak at float switch, removed and replaced float switch kit.
The toughest part of the repair was removing the Float & Retainer Assembly (in the interior of the machine tank) which broke when I pushed it back and pulled it straight up as suggested in the service manual. The Float Switch Kit (attached to, and below the float, below and outside the tank) has a folding plastic cover which fastens with plastic clips. If you open the switch kit before removing the...

To eliminate ordering parts that are working, I went to hardware store to get a multimeter to test and confirmed the continuity of the themal fuse and the door switches are working. Saw another reviewer post a similar problem and I went with the solution by replacing the panel-ctl. Ordered the part, replaced it after receiving the delivery package, turned the breaker back on, ran a test cycle, et voila, it works as new.
