• Leaking

Every once in a while we'd get a small leak just under the left side (freezer door). I moved the fridge out and saw the water stain towards the front of the unit. Carefully removing the grate (see the video on how to do this so you don't snap the plastic brackets. Checked out the video on your site on how to disassemble the ice maker. Was really easy when you know the correct sequence. Only 3 screws and it's out of the freezer. Disassembled the ice maker on my kitchen counter and replaced the ice stripper. Reassembled and installed back in my freezer. It is as good as new Read more

First I did the obvious: Changed the evaporator fan motor and condenser fan motor. Then I realized there was too little air flow from the freezer to the refrigerator, so I replaced the air baffle assembly. Now everything works again. This should have been a piece of cake, but in the 48" Kitchenaid side-by-side built-in, the baffle assembly is mounted on the side wall of the refrigerator rather than the back wall as the video showed. I had the water filter holder replaced to fix the problem with the water for the door and the ice maker. The holder did not come with the cover for the release button for the filter. I ordered a replacement cover (Button) for the filter release. The cover fits over the release lever and was easily snapped onto the lever. It took more time to unpack the button from the packaging then it did to install it onto the filter housing. I don't understand why this part wasn't included with the new... Read more

Replaced the main circuit board, evaporator fan motor, and power supply. Probably did not need to change the power supply but did so just to be safe. Replaced the fan motor because I was advised it could be the cause of the circuit board failure. Got a rebuilt main circuit from Circuit Board Medic because new ones are no longer available. Read more
