This active vent assembly controls airflow from the dishwasher during and after a cycle, releasing humid air at the right time for better drying. Replacing a faulty vent can reduce lingering moisture and steam escaping from the door.

I bought the part from AppliancePartsPros.com. Removed water inlet hose. Removed water outlet hose. Removed water inlet valve which was held on with one screw. Replaced the water inlet value. I purchased a can of black appliance spray paint, removed the panels on the dishwasher, sprayed them, and a few hours later put them back.
