I ordered the parts, deciding that if one spring had broken, the other one should probably be replaced at the same time. I followed the suggestion of ordering the door spring bearing given on the ordering page, and since I had not yet pulled out the dishwasher, did not know that it was not used in this older model. This is the dishwasher manifold tube only. It attaches to the bottom of the upper rack. For the complete kit order 675808. Also consider checking the mount that attaches this manifold tube to the dishrack. For the mount order WP8539324.
Part was updated from original equipment (3 pieces) to a one piece tube. Snip the top of hanger loop then install. Just a couple minute job. Updated tube is much better than the original design. Read more
Third level wash arm assembly for dishwashers. Installs on upper feed tube in top rack area. Replace if disc is cracked, washer is missing, or assembly won't stay on shaft.
Although we had a service contract with Sears I elected to take a quick look to see what was wrong. There were 3 problems: 1 - retainer thumb screw had broken and appeared to have been damaged for some time showing scummy buildup along the line where the threads finally separated from the knob, 2 - after removing the lower spray arm, observed that the pump seal was visibly distended and exposed, and 3 - the 3rd level wash arm spinner disk was in the parts bag and the stainless steel sweat-fit... Seal gasket for dishwasher inlet base assembly. Replace if you notice leaks, moisture buildup, or debris entering internal components. Confirm fit.
1. To fix the leaks from around the door, I replaced the upper and lower door seals. These were purchased in a separate transcation, so they are not the parts shown here. The upper door seal worked as intended, but the lower seal would not stay in place on the lower edge of the door during a wash. Therefore I cleaned the grease and detergent off the old seal, and installed using silicone sealer/adhesive.
