Removed cover from Whirlpool washer (~20 years old) and found water to be leaking from hose connection at Break Vac. Obviously the hose had to be replaced but the Break Vac looked corroded and partially plugged, too, possibly inhibiting water flow. While the cabinet was off I noticed the Suspension Spring was rusted off so I ordered 1 of those, too. Inner tub basket holds clothing during wash cycles. Replace if cracked, rusty, or broken. Installs in center of washer between outer tub and agitator.

This adapter tube assembly connects sections of the appliance's water line to create a secure, leak-resistant path for water flow. Replace it if the tube is cracked or the connection no longer seals properly to prevent leaks and restore flow.

Replaces the upper tub ring that mounts on top of the outer tub as a splash guard. Order a new ring if yours is cracked, broken, or no longer securely attached.
This was the second attempt at fixing this problem. The first repair and parts were generated by listing the problem and reviewing the potential corrections, listed on the web site. From making repairs on other clothes washers, I was confident that some of those potential causes could have been the cause. Color: White. This washer lint filter is also known as the upper agitator.
Bought a new upper agitator/filter housing. Just slide it over the bottom agitator housing and put the cap from the old one on the new one. Takes maybe 3 minutes to do. The screen inside the lower part of the housing/filter holds it snug to the bottom housing and does not fly off during the spin cycle. Works great. Read more
