Before I took it apart I thought it had a broken tub tensioner spring. After some research, I thought it might be worn damper pads. Upon disassembly I found the springs and pads intact, pretty amazing for a 25 year old machine. All I did was re-lubricate the pads and put everything back together and give the spring adjusters a half a turn more tension. Test ran two loads and it ran perfect. As a side note, the springs that came and were supposed to be for my machine were too short, smaller... Read more

This decorative ring surrounds the timer dial and provides a finished appearance to the washer control panel. Located around the timer knob on the front panel, it should be replaced when cracked, discolored, or no longer fits securely in place.
I couldn't determine the problem for certain, so I called an appliance repair place that came out and told me it was the timer. The service call for diagnostic was $60, and they quoted me $350 for the part and repair, and said it would take a week to get the part. I paid the $60 and said thank you but no thank you. I found the part here, for less than the price they quoted me for the part alone. I chose standard delivery, they shipped the same day, it was on my door step the next afternoon!... Read more

This knob clip secures control knobs to their shafts on your washer's control panel. It prevents knobs from falling off and ensures they stay properly aligned for accurate settings. Replace if control knobs are loose, fall off easily, or don't stay in the selected position.
This washer balance ring helps stabilize your washing machine during the spin cycle by providing counterweight to offset unbalanced loads. It reduces vibration and prevents excessive movement of the washer tub. Replace this ring if your washer shakes violently, moves across the floor, or makes loud banging noises during spinning.

This washing machine is 19 years old, had water leaking from tub seal. Not the most difficult job I have ever done but installing the tub and bolting to brackets is in a tight space for 2 of them and took about six hours due to checking disassembling and re-assembling on computer. In the end it probably saved me $800.00 that a new machine would have costs figuring a new would cost close to one thousand for a good one. The repair man I use did not want to get involved in the repair but wanted to... Read more
