The solenoid that opened the air vent for drying was broken so it was open during the wash cycle allowing water to escape into the air duct. This was a very simple repair. It was done in about an hour. It involves disconnecting the dishwasher, emptying the water from the inside, taking it out and flipping it over, and replacing the diverter motor.
