I replaced the upper nozzle guide, nozzle shaft and upper spray arm. I also replaced the pump gasket for good measure. Top rack dishes had not been cleaning properly. I first removed the filter assembly to inspect the main pump from above. It was clogged but after cleaning and reassembly I observed that while middle and bottom spray arms were changing position, the upper spray arm was not. I confirmed that water was flowing through the upper spray arm by placing some empty yogurt pots on a... Read more

Thanks to LG NOT sending the parts THEY say are included with the dishwasher, I had to buy them in order to install the appliance. I sure hope the LG appliance performs better than their customer service. Very simple fix....bought the EXACT items needed from AppliancePartsPros.com and in just a matter of two days, had the parts needed. Amazing! Excellent experience. The fix was attaching the brackets to the cabinet and screwing it to the countertop. Also just popping the screw covers... Read more

Sensor Assembly (Temperature Sensor)
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: 6501DD2001A

This dishwasher sensor assembly contains the thermistor that monitors wash-water temperature and sends readings to the control. Replacing a faulty sensor restores accurate heating and cycle timing for consistent cleaning and to prevent temperature-related interruptions. What it does:

  • Helps maintain target temperatures for proper cleaning performance
  • Common failure symptoms include no heat or overheating, long/short cycles, temperature-related errors, or poor cleaning/drying
What's included: 1 sensor assembly Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker and shut off water before servicing
  • Access the sump area from the bottom; you may need to pull the dishwasher forward for clearance
  • Expect some residual water—protect the area with towels
  • Seat the sensor fully in the sump opening, reconnect the harness, and run a test cycle to check for leaks and proper heating

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaky lg dishwasher   Tom B. • Perrysburg , OH • October 09, 2015

I ordered a tub seal to fix a gasket that let go in our LG LDS4821BB. Once I tore it apart to get the gasket out (little trouble) I also found what has made this DW stink for the last year. I needed to also replace the filter unit in the bottom of the tub and clean the heater area. I ordered the filter the same day I got the gasket. Both arrived WITHIN 48hrs of my order. Wow!! What more can you ask for? Great prices too. Both parts were replaced by removing a total of 12 screws and easy... Read more

Switch,Micro
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: EBF64375202

The Micro Switch is an OEM part for LG dishwashers. It plays a crucial role in detecting when the door is securely closed prior to starting a cycle. This important safety feature prevents accidental exposure to hot water, detergent, and chemicals.

Causes of a bad micro switch include degradation from years of repeated use, debris interfering with mechanisms, or damage from attempts to force or slam the dishwasher door closed.

Symptoms of a bad micro switch include:

  • Cycles failing to start despite a closed door
  • Hot water or steam visible escaping when running
  • The dishwasher not detecting the closed door position
  • Error codes displayed related to door position sensors

This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore. Replacing only when truly faulty helps ensure safe and reliable dishwasher function.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Loud grinding sound motor rattling   Marvin L. • Sandy , UT • November 09, 2014

My project involved replacing the sump assembly and main motor on my LG dishwasher. The parts arrive in about 2-3 days. Wow, FAST! With the help of videos from LG I knew what to do. The trick with the whole project was ensuring that I transferred ALL gaskets from the old sump assembly to the new one. I missed transferring one around a sensor, then did not get the gasket around the pump motor properly. Once all those were correct all leaks stopped, new motor is whisper quiet (all I hear now is... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Lg dishwasher “ne” or “ue” error code (vario spray arm).   Dimitri T. • Cranston , RI • February 26, 2019

This was a very simple repair. It was done in about an hour. It involves disconnecting the dishwasher, emptying the water from the inside, taking it out and flipping it over, and replacing the diverter motor. This repair is done on the underside of the dishwasher, nothing to disconnect inside (just remember to remove the baskets). It would be wise to order the motor seal and micro switch that goes with it as they are all cheap parts and easy to swap out during the procedure. Be sure to take... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Door spring pulleys broke on our lg dishwasher   Leigh C. • Bemidji , MN • March 22, 2015

I looked up my unit and reviewed the schematic drawing online at Appliance Parts Pro. Once receiving the parts, I Pulled out the dishwasher and removed side panels - didn't even have to disconnect anything. Removed broken parts and replaced them with the new - took about 10-15 minutes start to finish. Easy cheesy! Owning LG appliances I'm thankful to have found a resource like Appliance Parts Pro! Color: blue. It measures about 3 inches wide by 1 inch high.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Main wash motor froze and then burned out the controller too i had to buy a new motor so the completely assembled sump with all motors and valves and heating element was a real steal for +$10   Mike K. • Fort Collins , CO • May 01, 2015

I bought a new controller first and installed it. The exact replacement controller was no longer available and I had to modify two AC connectors that changed from 3 pins with two wires to two pins with two wires. This was not expected but I made it work just fine by getting the three pin connectors on the cable to fit the two pin by breaking out the center web in the board two pin and then shaving off the raised key plastic on the wires. Then on power up, I found that the wash motor did not... Read more
