This is a compressor start relay device that helps the compressor motor start up and run efficiently. It provides the initial electrical boost needed to get the compressor running and then disengages once the motor reaches operating speed. Replace this part if the refrigerator is not cooling, the compressor clicks on and off repeatedly, or you hear a buzzing sound coming from the back of the unit.

Pulled bottom kick panel off, removed the one screw that held the light bracket on, unplugged the light connection, had to file a small burr off the bracket and pushed the light into the slot, reconnected the push on connector, replaced the screw for the bracket, replaced the kick panel, and marveled at my accomplishment.
