This is a rubber or elastomer damper that supports and isolates the evaporator fan motor inside the refrigerator. It absorbs vibration from the motor to reduce noise during normal operation. I have had the unfortunate problem of fixing this previously, so knew what to order. I ordered the defrost sensor and heater... and replaced both. Honestly, all I needed was the sensor I did and ohm test and got 0 on it... meaning it was bad, but just in case I replaced the heater. The fridge works great now, but I would suggest if this is your first time with this issue, remove the panel, unplug both sensors from the fridge, and do and ohm test while they are still in the fridge... and then... Used a short (just barely extends past the end of the roller) sheet metal screw to secure the roller in the upper sliding section of the handle (handle in place first). Unplugged frig to check connections, everything was ok. When I plugged it back in, nothing worked and the display and ice maker were flickering and clicking. Unplugged the display connector on the main board and could hear clicking from the main board itself. Replacing the main board and capacitor fixed it. I only replaced the capacitor as a precaution. it may not have been bad, but I did it for good measure. Everything is working great now and I don't have to buy a new refrigerator. Read more
