Very helpful video from a link on your website (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBIv0bxEhkE), and saved me a major repair bill. My journey started with an effort to replace just the water dispenser button, which failed because the fifth post on the back side of the button (not the four posts which hold the button in place--it's the extra rectangular piece visible near the repairman's pinkie finger at 3:04) had broken off, and it is this piece which reaches and moves the actuator for the water... If your refrigerator shows an ER RF error code or won't cool properly, this fan motor assembly restores airflow. Moderate DIY difficulty repair.
According to LG site error code is Refrigerator Fan. I removed the current fan by taking out the shelves. Then removing the bottom left track that is held in by 2 screws and a tab. Then you remove the plenum in the back. To do so, remove 2 screws under that hold the middle rack support. You need to lift up the covers that cover the screws. Once you have done that, pull down on the plenum, then pull forward and remove. You need to un-plug the fan to remove the plenum. Once that is... Read more

It is essential for maintaining even, consistent temperatures inside the unit. Replace this motor if the refrigerator is not cooling properly, the freezer is cold but the fresh food section is warm, or you hear unusual buzzing or grinding noises coming from behind the interior back panel.
I had a repair company come out. The part was on backorder from 3 wholesalers in California. Turns out the manufacturer had the wrong fan motor installed inside. It was way too small. I am taking the matter up with LG Read more

This is a decorative front panel that attaches to the deli or fresh food drawer inside the refrigerator. It serves as the visible face of the drawer and provides a handle area for opening and closing it. The Temperature Sensor is an OEM part for LG refrigerators. Also known as a thermistor, is responsible for sensing the temperature changes and providing the necessary feedback to the refrigerator's control board. Causes of a faulty temperature sensor can include wear and tear over time, damage due to electrical issues or exposure to extreme temperatures, or sensor calibration issues. These factors can result in temperature inconsistencies, inaccurate readings, or improper cooling performance of the refrigerator.
Symptoms of a bad temperature sensor may include:

Seals the ice bank door to prevent warm air from melting ice and causing clumping. Replace if ice melts, refreezes into clumps, or frost forms around the bin.
We have an LG fridge that is 10 years old that was starting to have sweating problems around all the gaskets. So it was either a new fridge or try replacing the gaskets. Ice maker not working or fridge warming unevenly? This fan motor circulates cold air throughout your refrigerator. DIY-friendly repair in 1-2 hours.
OMG, there were videos to tell me just how and what to take off to get to the repair. It was amazing. It was a challenge knowing I could do it as a woman.
