After checked the cooling coil on the back of freezer showing ice built up around the coil, I thought defrost heater did not working that cause a lot of ice blocking cold air traveling. So I read a number of the earlier posts regarding the required repairs and went forward with all those repairs. In short, I replaced the wiring harness, door switches, and bulbs. The problem still persisted so I went ahead and replaced the control board. That did the trick. So for my unit, LG LFX25960ST replacing all those components were required. The fridge was making tick noise every 2 mins, turning off the condensor which prevented the fridge from cooling. Through research I found it is a common problem related to relay and overload. I tried searching for the part I couldn't see it online because it was discontinued for this particular LG model. I did an Internet search and found your site. You're customer service representative was friendly and courteous, asked me what I needed. I gave her the refrigerator model number which is all I had. She spent the time needed to find the right bulb. LG doesn't provide great documentation but she cross referenced and double checked she had the right one. She encouraged me to buy two so I had a spare (a great idea). I got my bulb two days and fit perfectly. It was a great experience!! Read more
Replaced ice shot door. Because the original ice funnel was glued in by the manufacturer, it could not be removed without breaking, resulted in replacement of the ice funnel and dispenser assembly. Unfortunately the dispenser was damaged when I received it. This wouldn’t have happened if packaged from the supplier in a box instead of a bubble rap envelope.
