Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The flap that closes over the ice chute wasn’t closing completely. The warm air is drawn into the chute creating frost.   Robert C. • Springfield , VA • September 25, 2022

I watched the video attached to the part schematic for the three parts that work the chute - there is a small motor/actuator and the flap itself (which includes the spring, so really didn’t need to order the spring additionally). The hardest part was getting the cover off - I put tape all around the outside of the edge on the refrigerator to avoid scratching it and then used pry tools I have for automotive repairs (pulling off trim and panels) and was able to get it out without a problem.... I ordered a replacement. I can't believe that I received it the next day! I was hoping for a reasonable delivery time. With some companies, you click the order button and then wonder how long it will take to process. I received my answer not in days, but in just a couple of hours. Excellent service. Next, how long would it take to actually be picked up? Another surprise. By early evening I received tracking information. Nice work. You have set the service bar pretty high. I doubt... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The light bulb in the ice maker on my lg refrigerator was missing when we bought the house and needed a bulb nothing at home depot or lowes fit   Dave B. • Holly Springs , NC • January 05, 2016

I did an Internet search and found your site. You're customer service representative was friendly and courteous, asked me what I needed. I gave her the refrigerator model number which is all I had. She spent the time needed to find the right bulb. LG doesn't provide great documentation but she cross referenced and double checked she had the right one. She encouraged me to buy two so I had a spare (a great idea). I got my bulb two days and fit perfectly. It was a great experience!! Read more
