Stopper Assembly,Door
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: 4621JA3003C

The Door Stopper Assembly is an OEM component specifically designed for LG refrigerators. It secures the fridge door in fully closed and aligned positions.

The stopper assembly utilizes a pneumatic cylinder and integrated mounts to softly cushion door movement. This allows for smooth closing with an audible click to confirm proper sealing.

Causes of a bad stopper assembly can include cracked or leaking air cylinders after years of use. Loose or sheared mounting hardware may also cause improper alignment and restricted closure.

Symptoms of a bad door stopper assembly include:

  • Gaps forming around the door seal when closed
  • Doors difficult to latch fully or align correctly
  • Premature cooling loss from unsealed openings

Replacing this LG part restores a snug, confirmed door shut. The OEM stopper components ensure dependable closing effort for efficient operation. This replacement is compatible with some Kenmore models as well.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The refrigerator lights on 24/7/365 situation   Adolfo B. • Weston , FL • December 31, 2016

...after our refrigerator stopped working one of these mornings, I googled the symptom and was steered to a page where I was able to determine the possible culprit. To verify it, I left my cel recording inside and saw that the light stayed on. I was then directed to ALLPARTSPRO.COM, and was able to chat with a Rep, and after a short explanation told me to replace just the "push switchs"; so ordered them, plus the "light lens" and "cover", which had all melted for continuous lighting spanning... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The flap that closes over the ice chute wasn’t closing completely. The warm air is drawn into the chute creating frost.   Robert C. • Springfield , VA • September 25, 2022

I watched the video attached to the part schematic for the three parts that work the chute - there is a small motor/actuator and the flap itself (which includes the spring, so really didn’t need to order the spring additionally). The hardest part was getting the cover off - I put tape all around the outside of the edge on the refrigerator to avoid scratching it and then used pry tools I have for automotive repairs (pulling off trim and panels) and was able to get it out without a problem....
