Fix a laundry center that won't spin, agitate, or hums without moving. This drive motor replacement requires moderate skill and 2-3 hours to install.
I've read several reports about how "easy and quick" it was to replace the motor. All I can say is, "nonsense". It wasn't as easy as others reported, but for someone with decent tool skills, it was a very doable home repair - just be prepared to spend some time on it. First, the motor needs to be accessed from the FRONT of the dryer. This means removing the two cover panels to access the interior. NOTE: take photos as you go of how all interior pieces for together to make reassembly easier -... Read more

Here's the story. All my appliances except the dryer broke. Yeah. talk about bad luck. First I tried to fix the refrigerator. Replaced both motherboard and inverter board. Now it wakes up but the compressor does not kick in. Need another part. The washer, well I have to pull out the sink to get enough room to pull out the washer to fix it. Since the refriigerator is still in the middle of the kitchen, I don't need to tear apart another room. Nevertheless, let me say this, I love my "older"... Read more

I was looking for a parts sight and found yours. I started to watch all the video tutorials on each part and the "check these connections first video". Well by doing this I was able to find the source of my problem. What I thought was the heating coil not working right, ended up being the timer that was bad!!! I am so very happy with your sight and the step by step videos that were the success to being able to do this on my own. Read more

Replaced the control board after removing the inner door liner, plastice board cover and board itself, by removing screws, working various plastic clips/tabs and unclipping wire harnesses from board. most of time was spent cleaning the black soot from the door, which had a terrible burnt electrical/plastic fire smell. Cleaned mold/scale off of as much of the door as I could while in there as well. Removing parts without breaking plastic tabs to hold the new parts was trickiest part. Read more
Replacement fastening screw for securing trim, panels, and brackets inside appliances. Use when original screw is missing, stripped, or damaged.
I pulled out the old housing and unplugged the motor. It pretty much came out in pieces. Remove the plastic from the motor, then had to take a pair of vice grips to hold the spindle in place to remove the auger. Remove what was still attached to the old Housing. Cleaned everything up and put the whole unit back together. The motor looked like it was somewhat cooked but still worked, so I ordered a new motor and auger to replace it. Because this fridge is 24 yrs old, Appliancepartspros... Read more
Cooktop burner not heating or making humming noise? This relay controls power to burners. DIY repair takes 10-15 minutes with basic tools.
Troubleshooting was non-trivial. After determining the front-panel switch was not the problem, had to pull the unit out of the countertop slot, pull the top of the stove off to get to the relay area. Then swapped wires between suspected faulty relay and a relay that was still 'clicking' to confirm the fault. Then put everything back together so we could eat until receipt of the new part. Then take the top back off, install the new part, button everything back up. Read more
