Fixing the problem was quite simple. First, I removed the lid assembly (thanks to the diagrams supplied by AppliancePartsPros.com!). Getting the back two screws out was very difficult because I couldn't see them from the front and I could not move the unit out of the enclosed space. After some trial and error, I located the screws which were 5/16 hex head screws and removed them with a MAGNETIC nut driver. Size: 8 foot long. This external washer drain hose is needed when there is more distance between the washer and the drain. Note: comes with 1.5" diameter clamp but hose is 1.25" in diameter; therefore you may need to order the 1.25" diameter clamp separately: WP356138

First I looked at the many you tube vids, and there are many. appliance parts pros pretty much shows you how to deal with the parts. I changed the brake shoes and the clutch assembly which also comes with the driver cam. I also changed the metal brake operating cam.
