Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Noisy bearings in a maytag neptune model mah7500awwi used the instructions   Norman O. • Dayton , OH • November 04, 2016

I used the instructions from some of your previous customers. When I was ready to pull the inner tub from the outer tub, it pulled very hard. The front bearing had been HOT and really marked the shaft. The SEAL appeared to be almost plastic, not much left. I removed the seal from the Front bearing. This model had the original type seal with the plastic spacer behind the seal and in front of the front bearing.. BE SURE TO NOTE HOW THE PLASTIC SPACER CAME OUT--feet on spacer toward the... Control Board
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: 12001725

This part is a genuine OEM control board made for use with washing machines. The control board is a critical component that monitors and controls the functions of the washing machine, including the spinning and draining cycles. This part is subject to deterioration over time, which will cause the control board to go bad and prevent the washing machine cycles from functioning properly. Unplug the washer and disconnect the water source before attempting any replacements. Wear work gloves to prevent injuries from occurring. This part is manufactured by Whirlpool and has been sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. This control board is manufactured from high-quality, durable, non-corrosive materials. It is an authentic replacement part and thus is compatible with washing machines manufactured by Whirlpool, Amana, Jenn-Air, Admiral, Norge, and Maytag.

Drive Motor
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: 12002039

This is a Whirlpool washer drive motor and control board. The drive motor and motor control board are responsible for the spin cycles of the washer. A faulty motor may show signs of malfunction through a slower than average spin cycle. When the control board shorts out, the washer typically will not spin at all.Begin installation by removing the body of the washer. There are two screws at the base of the console. Remove these screws and flip the console back. Two clips are holding the body in place. Remove them with a flat-head screwdriver. Push these clips and pull the body off the washer. Now that the motor is exposed, remove the screws holding the motor in place with a nut driver. Two more clips fasten the motor. Push these clips with the flat head, and the motor is free to remove. Unplug the control board's wire harness from the washer. The new component is ready for install after these steps. The part is sourced directly from the manufacturer as a genuine OEM product. This kit is sold separately from the washer. This product is compatible with Whirlpool, Maytag, and Admiral appliances.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Maytag Neptune MAH4000AWW washer would not spin, or even agitate.   Donald O. • Morgan Hill , CA • April 07, 2014

I had watched some videos on youtube to understand how to disassemble & gain access to the various washer components & their location. Very easy. I had first replaced the wax motor, but that was not the problem. I reviewed the diagnostic procedures that were present near the control board, followed the directions to remove the main plug from the motor control board, which should allow the washer to spin at 50 rpm. No spin, & upon closer inspection, I observed that one of the phase drive... Read more
