Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: 21002247

This right-side blue end cap finishes and protects the trim on your appliance door, restoring a clean look and preventing exposed edges. It's a simple cosmetic/replacement part that helps maintain a proper seal and appearance. What it does:

  • Covers and protects the outer edge of the door trim on the right side
  • Prevents sharp or exposed trim edges that can catch or wear
  • Restores finished appearance after a cracked, faded, or missing cap
  • Helps keep the trim aligned so gaskets and seals fit as intended
What's included: One right-side blue end cap Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the appliance before starting work
  • Typically snaps or slides into place from the door edge; may require removing adjacent trim first
  • Use gentle pressure to avoid cracking plastic; if the cap is stubborn, a trim removal tool can help

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Bearings were worn out makeing a lot of noise   Lawrence L. • Largo , FL • August 08, 2015

I had a lot of problems removing the spin hub, I had to use an air impact wrench to un screw it even then it was very hard, it did not go easy with the hammer & pipe wrench as shown in the video. It was also very hard to remove the bottom spin bearing I had to cut the bearing retainer with a dremel tool so I could get my puller on it. After I struggled to get it apart The repair went very easy, I used brake spring pliers to remove the springs it worked like a charm. I am very pleased with... Read more

Timer
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP21002232

This is the timer for a washing machine unit. The timer controls the electrical parts and the length of time that the washing machine cycles run. This part is responsible for the water level, filling the tub and draining the tub, and settings. When the timer goes bad, the washing machine will no longer go through its cycles and it won't advance. It may stall in the middle of a cycle, skip a cycle, or won't even start at all. The timer will stop working if it burns out. Unplug the washing machine from the wall outlet before replacing this part. This replacement is fairly easy and takes approximately one hour to complete, depending upon the skill level of the person performing the task. This timer is compatible with washing machines that are manufactured by Maytag and Whirlpool. It is sold individually and it comes directly from the manufacturer. This part is made out of high-quality materials.

This part fixes the following symptoms
  • Timer will not advance

While trying to remove tub seal hub (which came off in six pieces I call it a "TOUGH" hub) I accidentally cracked the outside tub. I have received the new HT transmission which came with a new tub seal kit PN W102119156. I ordered a seal kit when I ordered the transmission not knowing it came with a tub seal.
