1.) Made sure BOTH Hot & Cold Water Lines turned off to Maytag Washer. (I have dual shut-off valve for those two water lines), 2.) Briefly ran Washer on Warm Water Setting, removing water pressure & remaining water from Hot & Cold water lines. 3.) Unplugged Washing Machine. 4.) Used Needle Nose Pliers to remove BOTH Hot & Cold Water hoses from the hookup on the back of the washer. 3.) This is the timer for a washing machine unit. The timer controls the electrical parts and the length of time that the washing machine cycles run. This part is responsible for the water level, filling the tub and draining the tub, and settings. When the timer goes bad, the washing machine will no longer go through its cycles and it won't advance. It may stall in the middle of a cycle, skip a cycle, or won't even start at all. The timer will stop working if it burns out. Unplug the washing machine from the wall outlet before replacing this part. Filters debris and sediment from incoming water before it reaches the inlet valve. Replace if clogged or missing to restore proper fill flow. Confirm fit.
The machine would not run a full cycle before it cut off and had the code "FE" and water was too high. The water inlet valve needed to be replaced since it was letting in too much water at time. I had a lot of problems removing the spin hub, I had to use an air impact wrench to un screw it even then it was very hard, it did not go easy with the hammer & pipe wrench as shown in the video. It was also very hard to remove the bottom spin bearing I had to cut the bearing retainer with a dremel tool so I could get my puller on it.
