Ordered parts and watched the videos provided by AppliancePartPros. Some of the parts were for repair purposes(old and worn out) but the other parts ordered were to get the dryer to dry properly. I also ordered one additional part , the two coils, and the dryer is working like the first time I purchased it. To have a repair man to just come out and diagnose the problem was $100.00. When I pulled out the dryer from the wall, I could see dust/lint had accumulated everywhere and the vent system was compromised. I vacuumed up the dust/lint accumulation outside and then inside the vent system. I then opened the lower cabinet to clean and check its condition. I removed the water steamer bottle and its sub-assembly and then the drum. This is the third time I have had to make this repair. This time it was on a different dryer with a cabinet on top. But tried getting a deal on the package of parts from another retailer, they were all the wrong parts so was out shipping costs. Have always received the correct parts from appliance parts pros. The movie tutorials were a big help as well. Schematic diagrams help pin down the correct parts. Shipping costs are reasonable and receive in no more than three days generally. I will... Read more
Color: Gray. Measures about 15 inches wide by 6 inches high.
For me it was a simple repair. I changed out the new filter for the new on. Just so happy to Still find parts for my Maytag Neptune dryer. Read more

This is the door switch only. For the door switch including the mounting clip order LA-1005.
I first unplugged the dryer, lifted the top of the dryer, then removed two screws that hold the front panel to the side panels. I removed the cable clip that holds the wires for the switch to the front panel, and removed the wires from the switch. I then removed the switch from the clip that holds the switch in place. My original switch had only one connection at each end, but the replacement had two at one end and one at the other. The terminals at the one end were labeled NC and NO. I... Read more
